"Saying 'I notice you're a nerd' is like saying, 'Hey, I notice that you'd rather be intelligent than be stupid, that you'd rather be thoughtful than be vapid, that you believe that there are things that matter more than the arrest record of Lindsay Lohan. Why is that?' In fact, it seems to me that most contemporary insults are pretty lame. Even 'lame' is kind of lame. Saying 'You're lame' is like saying 'You walk with a limp.' Yeah, whatever, so does 50 Cent, and he's done all right for himself."—

You definitely had some great picks on here. Thanks for sharing.

Taking it One Page at a Time
Out of all of these, I've only read Pandemonium. I loved it too! I can't wait to read most of these, they're all on my to-read list!

I Hunt Killers is a must read for me, can't wait. Fault in Stars is on my list also and i'm not even a YA fan, I think that will past the test of time.
ReplyDeleteI've heard so much about I Hunt Killers, but I wasn't able to get a hold of this year. It's definitely one of the books I have to read in the upcoming months. The Fault in Our Stars and Pandemonium are both on my list as well. Both of them made me feel so many things, and I can't wait to read Requiem and whatever book John Green writes next. This is Not a Test and The Diviners are the books I'm most looking forward to reading before 2012 ends, so I'm glad to see them on your list as well.
